I have always had a cat since leaving home and after the loss of my British Shorthair Chris and I feel in love with the Birman breed.  I have been a member of the Seal and Blue Birman Cat Club since 2008 after bringing two Birmans into our family.  I have attended the Seal and Blue Cat Shows ever since either as an exhibitor or as a helper.  At the last two I have assisted Ron with the catering for the Judges and Stewards.  
 
I then thought of how I could assist further and as I have experience at being a secretary/treasurer of a local Women's Institute I offered to join the committee and would welcome the opportunity to join the team.  I have attended a few of the AGM's and have found them very informative.  I have also been stewarding for a few Judges so have gained further knowledge of the breed.
 
Chris and I now have a family of four Birmans after the arrival of our first litter of kittens during 2010.  Without the support of various members of the Club I don't think we would have got this far and have gained so much knowledge about the breed.
